Spring Sale!
May 6th, 2009 · No Comments
Its that time of the year again with the first of our foal crop due to arrive in a few short weeks, we have a sale that we are hoping you just cant resist! Take $500 off the already reduced winter sale prices on either of the 2 outstanding fillies we have for sale! Sale prices are noted below for your convenience
Maggie is a 2 year old filly who is just craving a job to do. She is leggy and quick as a cat..not to mention some serious herding instincts in there. I bet she would take to cows like a duck to water, and then turn some barrels for fun on the weekends. Get her broke to ride in the fall and hit the shows come spring. She has an impeccable pedigree and is a flashy B/S Sorrel with TONS of chrome $2000 to put her in your barn is a STEAL – Visit her web page here
Darby. What is there to say? She is a yearling dun tobiano filly who is going places. Her sire is an honest 16.1 hands and I am estimating this filly to end out about 15-15.1 when she is done growing. She is full of energy and cuts the pasture like a hot knife through butter. Dainty baby doll head and outstanding markings will blow them away in the show ring, performance ability and conformation ensure a smooth and easy ride for you. At $2750 in your barn, you cannot possibly go wrong with her. Visit her web page HERE!
Remember – We take short term payment plans and will work with you to help you get one of our outstanding fillies into your barn to start her new life. Vet/Health Inspections are available – we are happy to provide you with a list of local veterinarians. Micro chipping is available upon request and at the expense of the buyer after final payment has been made. See our Horses for Sale page for more information.

An Update!
January 27th, 2009 · No Comments
Winter has FINALLY arrived! Snow and bitter temperatures makes for moody horses and moody owners alike. We are hunkered down and waiting for it to be over, while we are slowly packing things up to move in the spring. The dogs seem to be the only ones enjoying the snow so far and if they would stop unpacking the garage it would be a big help.
Broken A Designs!
Since I am trapped inside, I took advantage of the time and redesigned and relaunched http://brokenadesigns.com I love the new look and hope that it begins to drive more business. If you or anyone you know needs a new site, we are available!
On the other side, I have been looking at the Real Estate classes I plan to start in August (once we are settled from the move and breeding season is over) and they are not nearly as expensive as I had thought they would be! I am so excited to start something new, now just to get through the 7 months in between.
Winter Sale!!
Take advantage of our winter sale and add a stunning new filly to your barn.
Foundation and performance bred, Maggie is a leggy coming 2 year old B/S sorrel filly with tons of chrome (see attached pictures) With her impeccable pedigree and beautiful conformation, this girl is absolutely going to take you where you want to go. She is UTD on vaccines and worming and she clips and ties. Visit her web pagefor more pictures, pedigree and information on taking Maggie home Winter Sale Price is $2500

Winter
December 4th, 2008 · No Comments
Winter has arrived at the Broken A! We had an mild winter storm come through which left us with 4-5 inches of fresh powder, yes just enough to mess everything up before it melts lol. Such is winter. Darby and Teagan are curious as to what this snow stuff is and the rest of the horses seem to be resigned to the fact that winter is here and there is nothing they can do about it.
I have to say that so far I am very happy with our new hay supplier, the bales have been of outstanding quality, and even though I prefer the small bales to the medium ones, the savings are making it work the added effort and change.
Halter breaking for Darby is almost finished, then she and Teagan will be turned out with the rest of the mares for the winter.
Just another night at the ranch..

Sheza Black Ty Affair
November 17th, 2008 · No Comments
Please join me in welcoming Teagan to the Broken A program! While we were not looking for another addition to the herd, I just couldn’t resist Teagan when I saw her. She is a 2008 homozygous black and white filly, that I will also test for the black gene in the next few months. We had plans to ship semen on her sire in 2009 to cross with one of our outstanding mares, however Teagan is exactly what I would have chosen in a foal so I think we got the best of both worlds by picking her out.
She promises to be an outstanding cross with both Heza Dun Dreaming (our double homozygous dun stallion) and CR Merlins Majac (our grullo quarter horse stallion) so its a win win all the way around. Look for her in the show ring in the near future. This affair is going to blow your mind!

Welcome!
November 3rd, 2008 · No Comments
Welcome to the new website and blog of the Broken A Ranch! I have been messing about with it for a while now and I think I have it where I want it finally LOL There are MANY changes in the air here, including a relocation coming up in a few months, the addition of a few new broodmare prospects, the retirement of Zan Eyed Buck and the preview of our new stallion prospects!
As you can see the past year has been incredibly busy. We have some excellent performance, homozygous and dilute paint horses for sale and are sponsoring 2 outstanding homozygous paint stallions for sale as well. So be sure to check out the “sale barn” before you go.
Keep your eyes here for future updates, horse sales, sponsorships and whatnot. I know some of the horse pics are a little rough- I will be taking new shots of every one in the spring once we get settled into our new home.
Enjoy your visit to our site, and as always – feel free to contact us with any questions.
Liz
