March Mudness

March 25th, 2010 · No Comments · Homozygous and Dilute Paint and Quarter Horses

Wow when they say Missouri has mud they definitely are NOT kidding.  I have never in my life seen mud like this.  I cannot wait for this mess to dry out.  In the mean time I am working on adding another gate at the top of the pasture so I can feed mares up out of the muck.  I never thought I would say this but I am glad that we aren’t expecting any foals this year,  they would have been lost for sure.

The new turn out paddock  is done and we are considering going back to fly predators and perhaps solitude IGR for fly control this year since both are safe for pregnant mares and breeding stallions- it is SO wet here I am not sure how effective it will be but that too will be a learning curve.

This website will be getting a makeover and new pictures will be coming in the early summer.  Each of our sale horses will have their own page with updated pictures and video to help you make the best choice for your equine needs.    At the moment I believe we will have 2 yearling geldings, a 3 year old mare, a 2 year old mare and a broodmare only prospect (which could be bred to the stallion of your choice for 2011 if you decided to purchase her before June) in our personal sale barn.  As always we will have a selection of outstanding horses for sale from other farms as well.

Hang in there.. spring is coming!
